Vrod, I have a pair but have not used them. When I do I'll post something.

I've had a lot going on recently and have not been doing much audio stuff except building The Truth when needed. I hope things get better by the end of the year.

General Discussion / I want my Beast amplifiers to go away....
« on: April 07, 2023, 01:32:00 AM »
It's time for a new home if anyone wants them. They are not free but relatively speaking they might as well be.
If any of you are interested, shoot me email for details. There is an issue with one, the other is fine. The issue should not be a big  deal.
Figure...in the 750 dollar range for everything related to them and the amps if picked up, otherwise I just want actual shipping.

General Discussion / Christmas......
« on: December 26, 2022, 03:00:49 AM »
Hi all, Helen and I hope you all had a great Christmas. I meant to post days ago but it has been stupid here. First, we are not complaining at all. We had made lots of preparations for stuff like this. It's actually kind of satisfying to know everything went "according to plan". Trust me there are people all around us that are in Hell. Even though everyone was warned about the temps. there was little to be done if your pipes, well and tank were not seriously weather proofed. We saw 10 degrees. The water tower in Lexington sprang a leak! I wrote the note below to send to a friend but don't feel like typing the story again so I will copy and paste. We missed Christmas but all in all we are good. I have been wanting to replace that bladder tank for a long time.

For us the week was "interesting" and still is not over. Here is the short version. Helen started feeling bad last Sun. night. By Mon. morning she was full blown sick, not a cold. Neck hurting her, head, throat, bad congestion, weak, no appetite....best guess was the flu, we doubt it was covid for the 3rd time, she felt worse last week than our second covid brush. She was just getting better Thurs. night.

Well, I started feeling bad Tues. and Wed. was really feeling bad. Thurs. I was in bad shape. We made preparations for the cold weather, storing water, making sure gas was filled, etc. It was miserable. Here is the best part....Thurs. night around 10pm right after I had taken a shower ( I had gotten a bad feeling about the temp.) the water froze and stopped. Well, it was 10 degrees when I looked about 7am. Fri. morning. Never got above 25 or so all day. Got down to 16 Sat. morning. Well, the "water" did not just freeze, ALL of it did. The bladder tank froze as well as all pipes. Nothing we did or could have done would have stopped it. We are trying to thaw the bladder tank but it is a 20 gallon block of ice. Tomorrow I am going to buy a bladder tank and replace it, it's 20 years old and time, along with all the exposed pipes. It will be days before they all thaw and they are easy to get to. With luck we will have water late tomorrow afternoon. Had my first bath since Thurs. night today at Dad's place. Yes, it was sad going there.

So, that was us. We sure hope your week was less eventful!

D., whether you like it or not dementia Joe did all this in just 2 years. The most corrupt, incompetent administration in history and the first time as far as I know a guy with clear (to any thinking person) mental problems was selected. In the past couple days he has said many blatant lies that a 10 year old could figure out.  "Gas was 5 dollars a gallon when I took office". Fucking idiot....it was about $2.40, who does not know that? It is easy to find out, but his lemming followers will believe  that just like all the other lies he keeps spewing. If I had time to waste I'd make a list.

Now, they're only incompetent if one believes they actually care about the country but if you look at the destruction that started on DAY ONE it could mean they are extremely effective at what they have intended to do. He wrecked our energy independence and now he is burning through the strategic reserves. Thank God the world is stable right now and there's no chance we might actually need that oil.

I have not done anything but look at it since then. Was all tied up with Dad. It'll get fixed soon. Pretty sure I found the issue but regardless it will get right.

General Discussion / Sad news for real...
« on: October 21, 2022, 01:20:44 AM »
Dad pretty much "gave up" last Dec. when Carolyn died. For a couple months he came out on the weekend for lunch but then he just "didn't feel like it" one weekend. That was it.  He started to barely eat. About the first of Aug. he started down hill fast. The last 5 or so weeks he was "gone". The last 2-3 he would barely eat, then it was sleeping all the time. The last 2 weeks he needed care 24/7, more than we could do. Prior to that we managed pretty well never leaving him for longer than it took to run errands and stuff.  So my brothers and I hired a service for in home care and we made sure there was someone there 24/7, them, us, or usually both.

He passed away with us by his side Sunday night about 7:30.

After the speech by the criminal POS who is on the take from all our enemies, its now obvious who the Capt. was referring to.

Capt. , you are in for a rude awakening when you get here. This is not the country you left.

87,000 new IRS employees.......I filed my taxes on April 2nd. Still no refund. Got the State back in 4 weeks. I am sure those 87,000 new employees will be devoted to better service and not auditing the enemies of the POS.

Henry is pretty much correct. Stuffing the path would almost make it into a TL, don't know, never did it since you could not get it out!
The area behind the driver is a compression chamber, the area behind the driver should NOT be relieved to allow "a smoother airflow". It don't work that way!
Hope this helps!

She will need all the support she can get. Today, Thurs. 8/11 will be her last day at work. She is retiring. This means she will be spending a lot more time with me. Heaven help her.
